Dinner by Heston Blumenthal – Installation Feature

in Uncategorized

Chef Heston Blumenthal & Executive Chef Ashley Palmer-Watts are exploring Britain’s culinary history and dishing it up with a modern twist in the Fat Duck Group’s latest venture – Dinner by Heston Blumenthal.

The centrepiece of the open theatre kitchen is a 15th/16th century style rotisserie which is operated using a spectacular pulley system. Beech Ovens was approached by Tihany Design to create a Fire Place Enclosure (gas fire pit) for the rotisserie.

The gas Fire Place Enclosure not only cooks meat to perfection but illuminates the steel pulley mechanism of the rotisserie in the restaurant’s open kitchen. The rotisserie has been famously used to cook pineapples for one of Chef Blumenthal’s coveted desserts.
